Petit lunette pour voir le monde

Small lenses to the world…to see the beauty.
Spring brought new energies and new perspectives. I embrace the new challenges and learning with curiosity…and with a renewed appreciation for the small steps. The way towards equity and inclusion is long…every small step counts a lot!
And, the small steps are made by all engaged people who invest energies, time and emotions to drive the changes…and lately I met so many engaged people that I am truly overwhelmed by all emotions and the beauty of seeing such committment.

Warm wishes for a peaceful, healthy and joyf

y time and for the year to come!

My 2022 has been challenging under several personal aspects.

Among what I enjoyed the most and gave me most energy and motivation…the experiences shared by all participants at the workshops!

I am immensely grateful that I have the opportunity to learn so much from each and every one sharing personal experiences, allowing all of us being aware of the effects of unconscious biases and of what it means feeling discriminated.

I am grateful to all participants sharing how they reacted when witnessing unconscious biases in others and to all follow up discussions on what we can do in such situtations!

When sharing a personal experience, emotions come along and it means that during the workshops we feel in a safe place, where we do not feel judged and we can express ourselves.

After long time of online events, we finally met in-person again! In-person workshops can be revealing for many, with real vibes, leaving strong connections…online workshops can be so engaging to skip any biobreak 😉 and let some people say “the last 3 hours were just flying”…that’s the magic of listening to personal stories, of trying to understand each other and each other’s perspective.

If we want to make a change, we should do it together. This is also why I am thankful for the great opportunity to be panel list at the Science Summit of the Joint Research Centers discussing on gender gap in academia. Still so much to be done…but so glad to see all the effort and sincere engagement from all panel lists and participants! It has been a vibrant meeting!

Grateful to all participants and organizers of workshops and seminars @:
